FAQs
What is Football IQ, and why is it important?
Football IQ is a training program founded by NFL veteran Brandon Mebane that focuses on developing the mental side of the game, often overlooked in traditional training. While many athletes rely on raw talent and physical skill, Football IQ bridges the gap between athletic ability and deep game understanding. It teaches players how to analyze film, read formations, recognize tendencies, and make faster, smarter decisions on the field. By improving football intelligence, athletes gain a competitive edge, enhance their reaction time, and position themselves for success at higher levels, including college and professional play. It’s about seeing the game like a pro, not just playing it.
Who can benefit from Football IQ?

How is Football IQ different from physical skill training?
Football IQ focuses on developing the mental and strategic side of the game, which is often overlooked in traditional physical training. While physical skill training builds speed, strength, and technique, Football IQ teaches players how to think the game through mastering film study, understanding formations, reading personnel, and anticipating plays before they happen.
The program combines high-level film analysis, real-time feedback, personalized coaching, and Champion-level insights to help players recognize tendencies, react faster, and play smarter. It equips athletes with the mental tools that separate good players from great ones.
Do I need to be at a certain level to participate?
No. Football IQ is designed for athletes, coaches, parents, and fans at all levels. Football IQ meets you where you are. Founder Brandon Mebane has coached individuals across every stage—from youth athletes to NFL professionals—by tailoring each session to the participant’s needs. The program provides customized guidance based on your experience and goals, so you don’t need to be at an elite level to benefit. What matters most is your commitment to learning the mental side of the game.
